The Amalga Missile Cruiser is a ship from the franchise “Space Battleship Yamato”, specificially one belonging to the “Bolar Federation.” The design has gone through major changes between its original appearance and its more modern appearances in media.
My depiction of the Amalga utilizes elements of both the newer appearance, though takes many elements from the original “Type b” design also, specifically around the bridge section. I also chose to ignore some aspects of the design due to personal opinions with it, specifically regarding the idea that all of the ship’s weapons should be concealed within the hull, which I felt always was weird.
