The “EDF Frigate” is a design related to the EDF Destroyer, being one of the designs to come immediately afterwards for Space Battleship Yamato. The design is intentionally made to be similar to the EDF Destroyer, due to it being designed after the prior one.
In my depiction I reuse the EDF Destroyer base hull, and make the necessary modifications to bring it in-line with the EDF Frigate concept art, while keeping the length the exact same as the Destroyer counterpart. The EDF Frigate was renewed in newer iterations of Space Battleship Yamato as the “Escort Frigate.”
